Setting Up Common Attributes

Attributes are reusable product options such as size, color, material, or style. Common attributes can be created globally and reused across multiple products.

Examples of Common Attributes

  • Size
  • Color
  • Material
  • Style

Creating a Global Attribute

  1. Go to the attributes area in your product settings.
  2. Create the attribute name.
  3. Save the attribute.

Adding Attribute Terms

After the attribute is created, add the terms or values that belong to that attribute.

Example:

  • Size: Small, Medium, Large
  • Color: Red, Blue, Black

Using Global Attributes on Products

Once global attributes are created, they can be selected when building products instead of entering custom attribute values each time.

Global Attributes vs Custom Product Attributes

Global attributes are reusable across many products. Custom product attributes are created only for a specific product.

Important Reminder

Attributes must exist before they can be used for product variations.
