Updating DNS Records (Advanced Setup)

If you prefer to keep DNS management with your domain provider, you can connect your domain by updating DNS records instead of changing nameservers.

This method requires manually updating the A Record.

Step 1 — Log Into Your Domain Provider

Access your domain management panel where DNS records can be edited.

Step 2 — Locate DNS Records

Find the DNS section that lists records such as:

  • A Records
  • CNAME Records
  • MX Records
  • TXT Records

Step 3 — Update the A Record

Locate the A Record for your root domain.

It typically appears like this:

Host/Name: @
Type: A
Value: current IP address

Replace the IP address with the server IP provided to you.

Step 4 — Confirm the WWW Record

Ensure the www record points to your root domain.

Example:

Host: www
Type: CNAME
Value: yourdomain.com

Step 5 — Save Changes

After saving the changes, DNS propagation will begin.
